
Ivan Girotto
Girotto's main research interest is in software optimization for High-Performance Computing applications at large scale.
With about ten years of experience, Ivan Girotto has worked as a computational scientist at national supercomputing centres such as CINECA, and later at the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC). In Ireland, he was also responsible for ICHEC’s first and second exhibition at International Supercomputing Conference (ISC2010/11).
Today at ICTP, he is one of the principal investigator of the European Centre of Excellence for Materials Design at the Exascale (MaX) as well as co-director and lecturer in number of international workshops, advanced schools and other programs for education and training on parallel programming for scientific computing and HPC.
